Removing Swirl Marks For Summer
NEED TO REMOVE THOSE HORRID SWIRL MARKS THIS SUMMER? THEN LOOK NO FURTHER. OUR DEDICATED SWIRL CONCEALER POLISH WILL DO JUST THAT.
Don't you just hate it when you've spent a good couple of hours washing your car, then when you step back to admire your hard work in the sunshine, all you see is annoying swirls and scratches covering your paintwork?
The truth is, swirls look far worse than they actually are. In actual fact, they are relatively minor defects that a usually a machine polish can rectify.
But we want to make that process even easier for you. We're aware that not everyone has a machine polisher, so we developed Vanity Swirl Concealer Polish, so that you at home can get amazing, professional-looking results at home. By hand!
SO, WHAT IS VANITY?
Vanity is an advanced, swirl concealer polish, containing sophisticated polymers and ultra-fine abrasives to reduce and fill in fine swirls in your paintwork. It’s packed with gloss enhancing agents to create a superior, high gloss to any car. It’s perfect for hand or machine application to reduce the visibility of swirl marks, leaving a glossy, wet-look finish.
So essentially, it's cutting back the depth of the swirls and also filling them (similar to a show car glaze) so that the appearance of swirls are gone.
HOW TO USE VANITY
Vanity is extremely easy to use at home either by hand or by machine. Simply mark an area about 30cm x 30cm on your car to do your test patch. Apply 3-5 pea-sized dots of product to your Polishing Pad and then dab onto paintwork to ensure an even application. Once you have done this, rub in straight lines or circles (which every you're more comfortable with) with medium pressure and speed.
Your aim here is it break down the abrasives in the polish to make sure they work correctly. Continue to work on this area for between 30-60secs before stopping. you should be left with a cloudy haze which will need buffing away.
BUFFING
Once you have stopped the polishing, there should now be a cloudy haze in the area you have just worked on. Take a new plush Candy Cloth Microfibre Towel, fold it in half, and then fold again to have a cloth around 20x20cm. Gently wipe off the residue and buff away to leave an incredible gloss finish, but more importantly, a swirl free finish.
RESULTS
The results should be clear as day. We marked our area using specialist detailers tape to make it even more visible. You can see in the image above, that the top area had been polished with Vanity, whilst the bottom area hadn't been touched. This was all done by hand. If you find that after 1 pass hasn't removed as many swirls as you may have liked, repeat the polishing step once more.
SHOULD I ALSO USE PROTECTION?
Correct. Once you have been hard at work polishing your car with Vanity, it's also just as important to protect this finish with either Ceramicoat Hybrid Spray Sealant or Golden Delicious Liquid Wax.
Both are extremely good products. The dripping wet-look that Golden Delicious Liquid wax creates is unrivalled. However the speed and ease of applying Ceramicoat is extremely tempting, especially if you're running out of time.
Both will typically leave between 3 and 4 months of protection to your paint.
